The season came to an end Friday for the Byron High School Cheerleading team as they did not make the finals today at the state competition in Bloomington.
Byron finished in 12th place in the Small Division with a score of 78.27. The top 10 schools in each division advance to the finals today.
There were 25 cheerleading teams in the Small Division.
Byron High School was making their 6th consecutive appearance at the State Finals. It was their 9th overall.
The only area school in the finals today is Belvidere North in the COED Division. They tied for 6th place on Friday with a score of 86.80.
