The Lee County Fair Association is excited to launch the Fair Fun Run and the 2nd Annual Barn Bash, both events benefiting the Lee Co. 4-H Center & annual 4-H Fair & Jr. Show. Both events are Saturday, June 18 at the Lee Co. Fairgrounds just north of Amboy on Route 30.
Fun Run participants can register at getmeregistered.com. Check-in and on-site registration is at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Race will include an obstacle course with climbing, crawling, mud and water. Cost is $25.00 and includes a Fun Run t-shirt. All Fun Run participants will receive $5.00 off their Barn Bash admission. Fun Run sponsors include CGH Medical Center, Sublette Fire Department, Lee Co. 4-H Federation, Bladescapes and individual donors.
Later that evening, gates open at 6 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Barn Bash featuring Bloomington band Brushville. Event includes concessions, beer garden and games. Music plays all night. Brushville takes the stage at 8 p.m. Admission is $10.00. Everyone is welcome. Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy this outdoor concert. All proceeds benefit the Lee Co. 4-H Center & Fairgrounds and the annual fair.
Brushville has been hitting the music scene since 2012 and have opened for country stars Jake Owen, Lady Antebellum, Thomas Rhett and more. Their music can be heard on itunes and at brushville.com.
