Bond remains at 1 million dollars for a Byron teen in connection with an alleged sexual assault incident Wednesday afternoon at the Nash Recreation Center in Oregon.
18-year old Robert Swanson has been arrested on the Class "X" felony offense of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
The male victim was under the age of 13 years old. Ogle County officials say that Swanson knew the victim.
During a court appearance Friday, a public defender was appointed for the teen. Swanson returns to court on June 15th for a preliminary hearing. At that time, he will plead guilty or innocent to the felony offense.
Swanson remains in the Ogle County jail in lieu of bond.
